Last night I went to a concert. I don't normally go to concerts. In fact, this was the first one I had been to in seven years. I'm glad I went. It was a lot of fun. What really impressed me was after it ended when people lined up to take pictures with band members the band members also prayed with them. It wasn't just praying. They had compassion for their fans just like Jesus had compassion when He taught the multitudes. Just so the reader knows it was this type of compassion: Part 3 of the Attributes of God This is what it means to be a Christian. I want to ask everyone reading this to pray for them. It isn't easy to reflect Christ, especially being in the spotlight.
To those who prayed with me, thank you. It meant a lot to me. When you feel discouraged remember this:
“In that day,” says the LORD, “I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; So the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from now on, even forever. -- Micah 4:6-7
And He(Jesus) was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” -- Luke 4:17-21
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. -- Psalm 119:105
I did not want to mention the name until last because many argue over the type of music. To people who argue refer to Psalm 150 and 1 Corinthians 14:7-9.
Thank you, Lacey Sturm, and everyone involved for setting a good example.
